VDI Configuration Manual Using View Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In. Part 1

Creating a VM from Template

Key Considerations

VADC operates in single-user mode only
→ Each concurrent user requires a separate VM

Step 1: Access the Control Panel

  1. Open the registration-provided URL in your browser

  2. Authenticate with:

    • Username: Provided during registration

    • Password: Provided during registration

Step 2: VM Creation Methods

Two approaches available:

Option A: Create New vApp with VM

  1. Navigate to vApps → Build new vApp

Configure:

  • vApp Name: Assign a descriptive name

  • Click ADD VIRTUAL MACHINE

  • VM Name: Assign unique identifier

  • Source: Select From Template

  • Template: Choose WIN2012R2_VDI

Confirm with OK → CREATE

Network Configuration

Attach organizational network to vApp

In Virtual Machines menu:

  • Locate created VM → HARDWARE tab

  • Adjust:

    • vCPU cores & sockets

    • RAM allocation

Under NIC:

  • Set IP Mode to Static-IP Pool

  • Record assigned IP Address

Option B: Add VM to Existing vApp

(Follow similar steps as Option A, selecting existing vApp during creation)
